The Ca Smart test kit is a droplet test kit from the series of tests developed by Reef Factory LAB. It is designed for the rapid measurement of calcium concentration in marine aquariums under domestic conditions. The kit allows for about 60 tests in the range of 190 to 500 mg/l.

Based on the results presented on the clear scale, we see easy-to-interpret recommendations on how to maintain the parameter in the most optimal range. Moreover, the dosing panel stores the measurement history and allows for convenient sharing of parameter history with other hobbyists. Many conveniences, one application!

How to perform the measurement using the Ca Smart test kit?

1. Take 2 ml of water from the aquarium with a syringe and pour it into the vial.

2. Add 3 drops of Ca Reagent 1 to the vial. Gently shake the vial with circular movements.

Shake Ca Reagent 2 and then add 3 drops of liquid to the test tube. Gently shake the solution with circular movements. The liquid in the test tube should turn pink.

4a. Place the dosing needle on a 1 ml syringe.

3. 4b. Pull 1 ml of Ca Reagent 3. The tip of the plunger should show exactly 1 ml. WARNING! Air between the liquid and the plunger does not affect the accuracy of the test.

4. Using a syringe with a dosing needle, drop by drop, add Ca Reagent 3 directly to the liquid in the test tube so that it does not remain on the walls. After each drop, shake the test tube and observe the color change.

5. The pink solution will gradually change color to a transitional color - violet. When you notice that the liquid has turned blue, stop adding drops.

6. Read the value of the remaining Ca Reagent 3 liquid indicated by the plunger of the syringe. Compare with the results table or enter in the Smart Reef user panel.
